Bank of America is the world’s 4th largest financier of global fossil fuel production.
In recent years, Bank of America has been one of two top lenders to Enbridge, which is currently constructing the Weymouth, MA compressor station - in spite of enormous issues of health, safety, justice and climate (see nocompressor.com for details).
LET’S TELL BANK OF AMERICA:
FUND A LIVABLE CLIMATE, NOT A CLIMATE CRISIS.
Actions you can take right now:
- Join Arlington Mothers Out Front at a standout in front of the Bank of America branch in Arlington Center, to bring attention to its financing of fossil fuel infrastructure. The standout will be on Saturday, February 29, from 11am-noon, at 655 Mass Ave. The rain date will be Saturday, March 7, same time and place. [link to event page]
- Move your money to a local bank or credit union that doesn’t fund the climate crisis. https://www.greenamerica.org/break-up-with-your-mega-bank
- Call or write Brian Moynihan, Bank of America CEO, and tell him to stop funding climate destruction: firstname.lastname@example.org; 704-386-5681
