Calling with the Environmental Voter Project
The environmental movement has a huge problem - many environmentalists don't vote. Over 10 million registered voters who list environmental issues among their top concerns did not vote in 2016. What incentive do policy-makers have to champion bold climate policy if the people who care never show up to vote?
Join us on Wednesday, July 1st, to learn how we can build an army of environmental voters. During this event, volunteers will learn how to call non-voting environmentalists using EVP’s online tools and unique messaging.
The Environmental Voter Project is a non-partisan nonprofit with a smart, data-driven mission. Instead of trying to convince existing voters to care more about the environment, they identify environmentalists who don't vote and turn them into consistent voters. EVP has identified millions of environmentalists with poor voting records, and they have proven that their outreach strategy works! In 2018, they persuaded almost 60,000 non-voting environmentalists across 6 states to vote for the first time.
