Mothers Out Front Massachusetts is focusing on increasing renewable energy by requiring the electric utilities to provide a lot more renewable energy each year. This is called the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS). Right now the RPS requires only 1% more renewables per year. We want the RPS to increase 3% per year. The current proposal in the House starts at 1.2% and increases slowly to 2%. Click here for an action alert to help us get the House Ways and Means Committee to make the rate 3%.
