Coffee, Campaigns, and Collective Action 06/03/2021
Do you have 30 minutes for climate action?
Join Brookline Mothers Out Front for a quick, action-focused Zoom call to support one of our campaigns. Each week the topic is different -- from fossil fuel free buildings to composting or tree equity. No prior experience or knowledge necessary!
Today's topic is biking in Brookline and our special guest is David Kroop.
This article from The Conversation explains the key role that biking and other forms of active transportation need to play in our transition from fossil fuels. Electric vehicles aren't enough! "One way to reduce transport emissions relatively quickly, and potentially globally, is to swap cars for cycling, e-biking and walking – active travel, as it’s called."
Join the call if you are a bike enthusiast or have not ridden since childhood! And, no need to be on social media to participate.
