Big Step Forward for Clean Energy in Boston and MA
GREAT NEWS! We've achieved a big step forward for clean energy in Boston -- and across the state.
Boston is the state's first big city to commit to a community energy plan, and Boston-based Mothers Out Front are celebrating this milestone. With the city's new commitment, some 190,000 homes and 31,000 businesses will get their energy from a municipal provider, who will be under contract to provide more renewable energy citywide. The Jamaica Plain and Downtown Boston teams started advocating for this in 2017 and it's taken longer than expected to bring it to fruition. Kudos to these moms and all our Boston-based allies for their persistence in getting this done!
