Gas Leaks Tagging Event

Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 09:30 AM through October 28, 2018 · 12 rsvps
RSVP for details

Join Arlington Mothers Out Front to help tag the 205 unrepaired gas leaks in Arlington!

In addition to being a safety hazard, methane is a powerful global warming pollutant, 86 times more potent than carbon dioxide on a 20-year time scale.

We are planning to make the invisible problem visible and put laminated signs up at each gas leak site this fall, and call in National GRID to FIND AND FIX THE LARGE VOLUME LEAKS.  We’ll do it in teams in each elementary school district – a kid-friendly event!

RSVP below and we'll get in touch with you to coordinate.

Induction Cooking: Taste the Future

Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 07:00 PM
Arlington High School in Arlington, MA

Register for this event through Arlington Community Education -- sponsored by Arlington Mothers Out Front

Why are people warming to induction cooking? The power and precision of the technology transfers current directly to magnetic cookware, causing it to heat up quickly. Essentially, induction cuts out the intermediate step of heating up a burner and then transferring the heat to the pot. The pan becomes the burner, making the cooking easier, cleaner and much more energy efficient. Some regard induction as the cooking technology of the future.

Come see a demonstration and learn how you can bring induction cooking into your home, and sample some food cooked with this new technology. Mothers Out Front is committed to spreading the word about clean and renewable energy and is helping to subsidize the cost of the class.
